It’s been a while since anything has been posted, I haven’t been slacking, but have been moonlighting on another blog! Since starting my business, I have become a lot more involved in my community. This is a great thing and should have happened a long time ago. With the state of the economy, and much competition from large retail shops, corporations and brand names, it’s hard for the little man to achieve success. In Lawrenceville, Georgia, the little men decided to come together and do something about it for themselves.

Rather than posting about the Trolley Tour all over again, you can actually read about it and watch a video by clicking here. What I will tell you about is a great new site in the works. A collaborative effort between Rodney Green of Star Team Atlanta and Purple Star Consulting the new “New Lawrenceville” website will let you know all about the goings on in the city. With over 30 businesses listed in less than the week we have been live, it’s continually growing! If you are a local business in the city or have strong ties to the city, we will list your company at no charge. It’s about the community growing together and supporting each other. Also of interest are local stories and happenings that we can post and share with the rest of the visitors.

So, visit the site here and let us know what you think!

  • Hi Megan,

Just wanted to say that your efforts for Lawrenceville will pay off. We've been blessed to be involved with the efforts of Ellensburg, Washington to save its central business district (and thus, entire community). You can find them now on Facebook, MySpace and even Twitter - and a Google search will turn up much more about them. They've been using online resources and social media for everything from finding employees for local businesses, connecting Central Washington University students with downtown merchants and even doing inventive fundraising. We've written about them a fair amount on our blog, also.

Timothy Bishop is the brains behind the renaissance in Ellensburg, and their efforts are definitely worth studying. Here's their main site -

Let us know if we can help in any way - and keep up the good work in Lawrenceville.
  • The New Lawrenceville site looks fantastic! I'm so glad that I've become a part of it and that you and I met. You do fine work, my friend!
